Fan Review: Two And A Half Men
As a fan of the show, we watched the premiere last night and for the few that read this blog, we no likey.
The show opened up with a wake in Charlie's honor. Here's how Rose, Charlie's love-crazed neighbor, described how Charlie died in France when he was hit by a train. "His body just exploded like a balloon full of meat." Hmm. Highly doubtful, but obviously if Sheen were to come back, it would have to be in some dream sequence.
Jon Cryer brought the funny as usual and Ashton Kuther had some humorous lines but not sure this forced way of bringing Kutcher into the mix is enough to carry this laffer.
Plain and simple, it just seemed off. Although a comedy, there was no real grief. Trust, we are all about getting our laugh on however if a significant person in the family dies, I'd expect a tad more mourning. Maybe Chuck Lorre couldn't bring himself to create such a thing due to the sour relationship these two (him and Charlie) have in real life.
Since this show has some fab writers, perhaps it will get better over time but Charlie Sheen is definitely missed.
Side note: People that watched the premiere last night but never watched the show when Charlie Sheen starred in it, your opinion really doesn't count so stop it!

It was so irritating in the bar when they were playing like they were drunk.they were in and out of character. Slurring their speech then not slurring their speech. Bleeech was a big fan, now not so much.
