Tobey Maguire: In A Kind Of Trouble That Needs More Than A Web

RadarOnline and Star Magazine are reporting, some Hollywood heavyweights that include attorneys, businessmen and wealthy celebs like Tobey Maguire, are being sued for some of the profits they made by participating in illegal high stakes poker games. These secret games took place in posh hotels like the Beverly Hills Hotel and The Four Seasons, both of which are not licensed to host these types of events. The unfortunate thing for Maguire is, the CEO of Ruderman Capital Partners, Brad Ruderman, also participated in these high stakes poker games. Ruderman lost over $300,000 to Tobey. It is alleged Ruderman did a Ponzi scheme to pay Tobey and others off. He was found guilty in January of last year for investment and wire fraud in the amount of $25 million and sentenced to 10 years. Therefore, Maguire is being sued by the investors because they want, what they believe to be, their money back. Others involved in these high stakes poker games but not being sued are: Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio Director of The Notebook, Nick Cassavetes. These games were so hardcore and intense, that allegedly bulletproof wearing armed guards stood at the door to watch over these festivities. I would've loved to be a piece of the felt-top on the tables in those rooms. Oh and the professional dealers dealing the game, you know they are working on book deals as I write this post.
