50 Mile Dust Storm Hits Phoenix Arizona

This type of storm that produces a massive dust cloud is known as, Haboob, which you would think having the word boob in it would be a good thing but not in this case. HuffPost Green reports, data showed the storm reached 8,000-10,000 feet causing power outages and planes to be grounded. This Haboob started in Tucson, Arizona. This is apparent, Monsoon season has officially started in this state. For more info on Monsoon season and what it actually means, click here.
