The "X Factor" Has A 2 Hour Debut

We fell in and out of REM on some of this last night. It was too long! However, we still love Simon although he was on the nicer side.

Here are a few highlights:

13-year-old Rachel Crow opened the show singing, “Mercy." We love her. We could see her on a Disney show where she is able to show her bubbly personality and sing. That's what those Disney kids and shows are all about, right? This is also a 13 year old who knows what she wants... her own bathroom. She lives in a two-bedroom house along with five other people. Dang! We hear you girl and obviously Cowell does too since he told her, "Get ready for a new bathroom."

Oh and 42 year old mother of two contestant, Stacy Francis, has such a beautiful voice. She sang "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" and blew the roof off the venue. She received a standing O from the audience and judges. Simon told her, "I've done this a long, long time, that was one of the best auditions I have ever heard in my life."

Now we wouldn't be us if we didn't talk about the hot mess that is internet blogger, Geo Godley. You know, the 43 year old dude that dropped his pants singing, "Im a Stud?" Although it looked like children were in the audience, the judges looked appalled and some looked afraid... yet nobody bum-rushed the stage to get this guy outta there. Unfortunately, we were unable to find actual video because it either sucked or was taken down to due copyright infringement. So someone showing their man parts gets the copyright infringement?

By the way, if you're wondering and haven't heard already, the difference between this show and American Idol, besides judges: Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger, is the X Factor has a more broader age range.
