Academy Award Predictions
So here it goes and keep in mind cateogories such as: editing, sound, or art direction; soooooo guessing as really who ever knows those. Well I am guessing on all of them but seriously those... come on.
UPDATE: I had Sean Penn and changed it to Mickey Rourke... told ya it would be Penelope... and of course I had no idea who would win in those other cateogories I discussed before, among others. Yeah my confidence is a little shot but nothing that a glass of wine won't fix.

Art Direction - Revolutionary Road
Cinematography - The Reader
Costume Design - The Duchess
Directing - Danny Boyle, Slumdog Millionaire
Documentary Feature - Trouble The Water
Documentary Short - The Conscience Of Nhem En
Film Editing - Milk
Foreign Language Film - Waltz With Bashir (maybe, The Baadar Meinhof Complex)
Makeup - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Music (Score) - Milk

Best Picture - Slumdog Millionaire
Short Film (Animated) - This Way Up
Short Film (Live Action) - Manon On The Asphalt
Sound Editing - Iron Man

East Coast Vs West Coast
Today marks the 58th annual All-Star basketball game in Phoenix at the US Airways Arena. The East and West will battle it out for the title of who is the best side. We like D Wade and Kobe. So we obviously are not thinking about the layout of the land in our choices. We just want to see a good game and some awesome fouls.

The Obamas Do Chi - Town
Chicago Sun-Times reports, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have a Valentine's Day meal at Table Fifty-Two in Chicago, co-owned by executive Chef Art Smith, who is personal chef to Oprah Winfrey, yum!
Here's a video some guy shot with his Nokia cell of the Obamas going back to their home in Chicago.

American Idol Tuesdays
Did you watch the hopefuls audition in Hollywood tonight? Who should've gotten the boot and who should've stayed?
I'll just say the guy who made those faces did not have a bad voice... attitude hmm yeah but voice... I guess they felt his face is not something that could have gotten better throughout the competition.

Well...
Some of my predictions were right on while some were way off (see yesterday's blog).
The highlights were: the talented and very funny Ricky Gervais talking about what you need to do to get a Globe, Tracy Morgan talking on behalf of 30 Rock after they won for Best Comedy, and Kate Winslet's speech after winning her second globe.
