Eminem Gets Paid (VIDEO)

According to. The Sun, rapper Eminem made a crap load of moolah this past weekend headlining the V Festival in England. Em performed two nights at 90 minutes a pop and scored about $3.3 million for his services. Rihanna joined him on stage to sing their hit, "Love the Way you Lie."

Rihanna also performed solo at the festival and allegedly made $825,000 per show.

Rihanna recently gave an interview to UGO.com about her character and what she says on preparing for the role. "We worked with real military people, you know, people in the Navy, people who have fought in Iraq before, They pretty much came and drilled me. This one man, Donald, he pretty much drilled me, yelled at me, cursed me, 'Ow!' Made me do pushups." "Drilled me"... nice choice of words.

Anyway, she went on to say, "I really want to say, 'F*ck you' right back, but then he probably would have thrown me through the window! I was so scared I just stood there and looked at him like, 'I swear I’m going to get it right, I swear, I swear, I swear I’ll be good."

Spice Girl Mel C Tells Rihanna To Chill

Mel C, who is a huge fan of Rihanna, says she needs to tone it down due to her young fan base and how impressionable they are. Mel tells the Daily Miror of her and the Spice Girls, "We always sat down as a group, be it in photoshoots, videos, interviews, and if somebody felt something was inappropriate for our young fans, we did something about it," she goes on to say, "I think that's something young people in the music industry today, like Rihanna, should do now. Rihanna has responsibility and although culture's always changing, it's changed too much. It needs to be dealt with. It's reached saturation point, we owe it to our kids to protect them."

2011 MTV Video Noms Announced

Still not quite sure why a network that no longer really shows videos still has an award show for them...and why the artist gets all the glory when the director is actually the one who made the damn video. I get that some artists collaborate or come up with the concept of their own video but come on...

Anyway, the odds of Katy Perry at least walking home with one award are pretty good considering she leads the nominations with 9. She earned 3 noms for her video, "Firework" alone.

Adele scored a total of 7 noms for only 1 video. Yes you read that correctly. For her awesome song, "Rolling in the Deep." Kanye West, taking that much needed break not too long ago, also got 7.

Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Beyoncé were not ignored getting 4 nominations each. Who was ignored for their solo work however was Rihanna. She was nominated by association as Kanye West was nominated for "All Of The Lights" which features her and Kid Cudi. Eminem was nominated for "Love the Way You Lie," which also features her. In case you are wondering, Chris Brown nabbed some noms.

Those battling for the big one, Video of the Year, are: Beastie Boys, “Make Some Noise,” Bruno Mars, “Grenade,” Adele, “Rolling in the Deep,” Tyler, The Creator, “Yonkers,” and Katy Perry, “Firework.”

Worst moment and unfortunately expected from BET is when it was said Chris Brown won the Viewer's choice Award and then it was said his ex, Rihanna won featuring Drake. So Drake accepts the award (Rihanna is not there) saying, "Well, this is awkward." Then at the end of the show, the host Kevin Hart comes on stage with Chris Brown to let the audience know that Chris did indeed win the award. Did you follow that?

The BET Awards are going down live this Sunday, June 26th (8 Pacific/7 Central), and are being hosted by Kevin Hart. Steve Harvey will be honored with a Humanitarian Award and Patti LaBelle will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award.

According to People, it really should be according to rant and roast since we reported this last Wednesday, Chris and Rihanna are back together. They are staying in Diddy's home on Star Island in Miami. For the most part, the rekindled lovahs have been staying inside however on Thursday, Chris was seen hanging out on a jet ski.

Chris Brown Manages His Alledged Anger

According to New York Daily News, Chris Brown started taking anger management classes in Glendale, CA. Word is he wants to have a couple classes in prior to his March 5th court date, and that it was the idea of his spin machine. Brown was not legally told to take the classes but felt it would make him look good to the public.

Can I just say Rihanna and Chris are probably back together... and I've seen reports saying Chris and Rihanna will both be at the March 5th court date. First of all, did someone specifically talk to their peeps and ask that question? Or is the media speculating (like I just did about them being back together)? This is dude's first offense and by Rihanna being the person he alledgedly hit a few times, seems to me their lawyers can show up on their behalf.

Brown Gives Good Gifts

The New York Daily News reports Rihanna celebrated her 21st birthday this past weekend in a rented house in the Hollywood Hills amongst close non-celebrity friends. They also report Chris Brown phoned Rihanna to wish her a happy birthday and gave her a diamond bracelet and knecklace, along with an IPOD Touch.

I mean this does sound plausible however anyone could make this up as it was Rihanna's birthday so it seems obvious... but how do we really know this is what went down? This would mean Rihanna's people or her "close friends" put this story out... or possibly Brown himself or his people. For two people who, prior to the alleged assault, do not talk about their personal lives... all the personal biznass sure is getting out (allegedly), hmm.

Rihanna Issues A Statement

According to People, Rihanna released the following statement today (her birthday) regarding her altercation with Chris Brown:

"At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown," says the statement from her rep on Friday. "She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time."

Rihanna's Picture Released

TMZ, has released a photo of Rihanna shortly after her alleged attack by boyfriend Chris Brown. The photo shows a bruised Rihanna with what looks to be dried blood on her lip. There were reports that Rihanna's eyes were swollen to the point she could barely open them, untrue. It looks like her eyes are closed on purpose. I am not taking anyone's side, all I'm saying is there has been a lot of reporting and speculation on how "horrific" she looks. Grant it, I would not want that to happen to me but again, just saying.

C Brown Is Remorseful

According to People, Clinton Brown, Chris's biological father, was interviewed by People at his Virginia home and stated: "He's reflecting on this situation... He's very remorseful. He's very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that [Rihanna's] okay." Clinton went on to say, "This is unfortunate, this stumble, this situation"... "Hopefully, he will get past it. We all have our shortcomings. We all trip."

Whoa... TMZ is reporting, Rihanna did not call 911 someone from the Hancock Park neighborhood (where her and boyfriend Chris Brown's altercation took place) heard her screams and called. According to law officials Rihanna refused treatment, however the poe poes took pictures of her apparent swollen and bruised face. It has been reported that she suffered contusions to her face, a bloody nose, split lip, and bite marks on some of her fingers and arm. WTF?
