A Spice Girl Delivers

Thursday Melanie Brown, the black Spice Girl (see photo), gave birth to a healthy baby girl with hubby Stephen Belafonte by her side. This is the first child for the couple. She tweeted Friday (today), "Finally our baby arrives. Stephen nearly passed out, Phoenix screamed, I laughed so hard the baby popped out!!! She is just sooo amazing!!" By the way, Phoenix is her 12 year old daughter from a previous relationship.

She later tweeted to her hubby, "I didn't think it was possible but I love you even MORE now honey,we have a truly amazing family xxxx."

Now there's a couple things odd with the last tweet. We understand Melanie's exhausted but, couldn't she tell him this personally, like in person to his face? The other thing is, what's with the x's at the end of the tweet? Is that code for something porn-like?

The baby's name has not been made public yet.

Spice Girl Mel C Tells Rihanna To Chill

Mel C, who is a huge fan of Rihanna, says she needs to tone it down due to her young fan base and how impressionable they are. Mel tells the Daily Miror of her and the Spice Girls, "We always sat down as a group, be it in photoshoots, videos, interviews, and if somebody felt something was inappropriate for our young fans, we did something about it," she goes on to say, "I think that's something young people in the music industry today, like Rihanna, should do now. Rihanna has responsibility and although culture's always changing, it's changed too much. It needs to be dealt with. It's reached saturation point, we owe it to our kids to protect them."
