Amy Winehouse (1983-2011)

An unbelievable talent, who rant and roast wished would have found the strength to get it together, died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at her London home. She was 27.

This is a great loss to the music industry and pop culture. Voices like that are rare finds.

Winehouse Cancels The Rest Of Tour After Performance In Belgrade

The entire video is sad, however it gets worse starting around the 2:13 mark. The chick singing in the audience does not make this fiasco any better by the way.

Oh Amy...

Amy Winehouse just can't seem to get it together. According to Yahoo News, she was booed at a concert in Serbia due to well being Amy, drunk-like, mumbling the lyrics, yada yada yada. Concertgoer Bojan Petrovic, a 35 year old teacher is quoted as saying, "I paid my weekly salary, 38 euros ($54) for this concert and I knew of her troubles, but the organizers should have cancelled it to let us, her fans, remember the real Amy."

Okay there is so much wrong with that quote but the main issue is a teacher (I would assume a knowledgeable individual) gave up a weeks worth of salary on a performance they basically knew had a pretty high chance of sucking. Since this is the first show of a two week tour, at least Amy is letting her fans know what they're in for... some cancelled tour dates.

According to Britain's News Of The World, Blake Fielder-Civil (Amy Winehouse's husband) admits to being the cause of Amy's demons, claiming he introduced her to crack and heroine and recalls how she almost died in his arms when they hit rock bottom in 2007. Fielder-Civil says that is when she suffered her first seizure. Here's the thing, I do not blame him as if he introduced her to eating a bowl of maggots, would she?

Britney Spears performs "Womanizer" live multiple times across the pond and we hear her lip synching is better than ever. While Rosie O'Donnell's variety show gets canned after NBC aired 1 episode, due to low ratings and bad reviews... the kicker... she was beat out by Barbara Walter's, Barack and Michelle Obama interview in the same time slot, ouch!.
