Big Boi: Charged

According to HuffPost Celebrity, rapper Big Boi of Outkast was booked on 3 counts of drug posession charges in Miami yesterday around 1:35pm ET. The 36 year old rap star, whose real name is Antwan Patton, illegally possessed ecstasy and viagra pills, allegedly. Now released, his bond was set at $16,000.

His attorney released this statement: “While Big Boi was traveling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated.’

Big Boi tweeted this upon his release: "Fresh Out Baby!" He later tweeted, "Shiiiiit they said it was the Love Boat."

Considering the whole viagra thing (ALLEGEDLY) and being locked up (if only for a little while)... we're not understanding the "Love Boat" reference in his tweet. Perhaps not the right choice of words.

Jalen Rose, Sentenced

According to The Detroit News, this 38 year old former NBA player now ESPN basketball analyst just got sentenced to 93 days, but has to serve the first 20 in the slammer for a DUI charge that happened March 11th in Michigan. The rest of the sentence can be hashed out by doing community service and attending an alcohol awareness class. He is expected to start serving his sentence by August 2nd. Hope you come out smelling like a rose.

Woman Mutilated Husband's...PENIS!

A 48 year old Garden Grove, California woman, Kieu Becker, pulled a Lorena Bobbitt (google her) and cut off her 51 year old husband's penis with a 10 inch knife. She then however put it in the garbage disposal. Check out video for full story.

Gangster "Whitey" Bulger, No Longer Able To Take Walks To The Beach

Notorious Boston mobster, James "Whitey" Bulger, finally captured after living in plain sight in Santa Monica, California for 10 years with his girlfriend Catherine Greig, as reported by the LA Times and Fox News. "Whitey" is called "Whitey" because of the bright platinum hair he use to rock.

Bulger, now 81, is one of FBI's top ten fugitives (he moved to the number one spot after Bin Laden's demise) for the usual listing of crimes these dudes commit: racketeering, extortion, murder and drug charges. Catherine Greig was also arrested for harboring a fugitive.

Bulger and Greig (also known by their aliasas as, Charles and Carol Gasko) are scheduled to appear in court today.

Side note: I wonder who was financially taking care of this couple cause it is not cheap to live in Santa Monica.

Kanye will not face felony charges from the whole LAX debacle with the paps which resulted in his arrest on September 11th, as reported by People.

Kanye Gets Cuffed - Part Deux

So I was walking past some random peeps and overheard them talking about Kanye West's arrest at LAX yesterday (see Kanye Gets Cuffed post). So word on the sidewalk in front of my neighborhood Starbucks is, Kanye will more than likely not be charged with felony vandalism. Seems the fellow in his entourage is the felony culprit. The camera Kanye busted was a smaller camera with a retail value of around $100 which is a misdemeanor. Kanye's boy busted the more expensive cam with a retail value of a little more than $1,000. In Cali, in order to get popped for felony vandalism, the merch has to be worth more than 400 bucks. FYI, the peeps at Starbucks looked pretty trustworthy.
