Jalen Rose, Sentenced

According to The Detroit News, this 38 year old former NBA player now ESPN basketball analyst just got sentenced to 93 days, but has to serve the first 20 in the slammer for a DUI charge that happened March 11th in Michigan. The rest of the sentence can be hashed out by doing community service and attending an alcohol awareness class. He is expected to start serving his sentence by August 2nd. Hope you come out smelling like a rose.

Jurors In Casey Anthony Trial Can't Stomach Themselves

For those that were and still are all kinds of mad over the verdict of Casey Anthony being acquited of murdering her 2 year old daughter Caylee (see previous post), you might feel a little better knowing the jurors are struggling with their verdict, so much so, that they were sick to their stomachs. If you wonder why they give a shit at all considering the "not guilty" verdict, check out the video quoting Juror number 3, nursing student Jennifer Ford.

Update: According to TMZ, Casey gets out of jail Wednesday, July 13th and this story is still developing.

Charles Barkley Takes It To The Hole

... of a jail cell that is. Former pro basketball player, turned T-Mobile commercial guy and TNT basketball analyst dude Charles Barkley, who was popped with a DUI December 31st of '08 by Arizona poe poes, plead guilty to two counts of driving under the influence today. He is ordered to serve 10 days in jail but will do 5 if he does an alcohol program reports multiple media outlets. Charlie begins his sentence on March 21st.

The Juice Has Expired, For Now

OJ, aka The Juice, has been sentenced to at least 15 years in jail according to CNN. Simpson got into a bit of a mishap, armed robbery to be exact, in Vegas awhile back trying to remove sports stuff from a hotel room that he claimed is his. Please click here for a recap.

Here's the thing, either he is sentenced to 15 years or he is not. How can you at least be sentenced to anything?
