American Hikers: Released

Joshua Fattal and Shane Bauer who were arrested in 2009 and sentenced to 8 years in prison for espionage while hiking along the Iraq-Iran border, were finally released yesterday.

Is this a wonderful moment? Absolutely. However, the hikers were not released out of the goodness of their captors Iranian hearts. There was a payment drop in lieu of freedom. A payment of $1 million to be exact, according to CBS News.

American Hikers To Be Released From Iranian Jail

Ann Curry interviewed Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and he is going on record saying the two American hikers, Joshua Fattal and Shane Bauer who were arrested in 2009 and sentenced to 8 years in prison for espionage while hiking along the Iraq-Iran border, will be freed in a couple days. This is being called a humanitarian gesture on Iran's part. However in return, Ahmadinejad wants Iranians freed from American prisons.

The hikers say they crossed the border by mistake due to a soldier waving them over. What? Sounds like that soldier waved them over on purpose so they could cross the border to be arrested.

T. I.: Just Can't Seem To Leave The Feds

Wow! T.I.'s ass is visiting ANOTHER federal jail, in Atlanta this time. He just left an Arkansas federal prison on Wednesday (click here to read previous post). T.I. was to serve the remainder of his sentence at an Atlanta halfway house but that is up in the air at this point and nobody knows why yet. According to TMZ, T.I.'s lawyer, Steve Sadow, confirmed this by saying, "We are awaiting the opportunity to quickly resolve whatever the issue may be that the Federal Bureau of Prisons has with TI's method of transportation, bus, from Arkansas to Atlanta, so that T.I. can return to the halfway house to complete the remaining days of his sentence."

The method of transportation Sadow is referring to is a luxury bus. He also lets it be known that the reason T.I. is back in custody at the Arkansas prison has nothing to do with drugs.

This story is still developing. Damn.

UPDATE: It seems the issue is, T.I. was supposed to roll in a van and not a cool ass luxury bus, as reported by TMZ. T.I.'s wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle said the prison staff saw what T.I.'s mode of transportation was as they took pictures with T.I. right next to it.

T.I.: Released

Here's a refresher in case you forgot why T.I. would be released and from where.

While paroled and on probation stemming from a gun conviction, T.I. was busted for drug possession in LA with his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle last September. This little incident is what sent the hip hopper right back to the slammer.

Today he was released from an Arkansas federal prison, only to go to another form of prison called, a halfway house. according to People.

Not to be alarmed if you were dreaming of seeing how T.I. adapts back into normal life with his career and family. VH1 will do the honors of making your dream come true by catching it all on camera in T.I.'s new reality show scheduled to air December 5th according to Entertainment Weekly.

The Media, Still Reporting On Casey Anthony

Why is Casey Anthony's whereabouts being tracked or why are people trying to track it? This is someone who, if I recall, is in the witness protection program right? After watching the news this morning, I decided to google this because I could not believe technology was used to track the path of the alleged plane she boarded after her release from the pin. So in other words, why is this bitch's itinerary so important? By the way, when I use the word "bitch" it is a term of endearment and I mean that sincerely.

When researching this for blogging purposes, I came across this headline from Orlando Sentinel, Where in the world is Casey Anthony? Now for those of you that tune it to NBC's Today Show, host Matt Lauer does a stint called, Where in the world is Matt Lauer? This whole Casey Anthony thing has reached the epitome of ridiculousness. I'm just wondering how many stories the media is going to pull out of their asses to report on someone that is in hiding aka not visible.
