Charlie Sheen Gets Roasted

Comedy Central's Charlie Sheen roast took place over the weekend and here are some of the highlights according to, Entertainment Weekly.

The host of the roast Seth MacFarlane rants, “... A man who was great in two things 25 years ago.... Two and a Half Men will air a mock funeral for Sheen’s character during its premiere on the same night the Comedy Central roast airs but, you can just wait a couple months and see the real thing." Seth went on to say Charlie was found dead in his apartment and then told the audience he just copied the obituary of the late singer, Amy Winehouse.

While introducing William Shatner to the stage, MacFarlane poked fun at him with, "The guy who played Captain Kirk on Star Trek before it looked like gay guys working in a Mac store.”

William Shatner replied to Seth with, "Keep it going for Chaz Bono.” Then to Sheen, “I know another guy who was kind to whores and he got crucified by Jews too..."

Jeffrey Ross jabs, "Charlie if you’re winning, something is wrong with the scoreboard. If you’re winning, this must not be a child custody hearing."

Actress Kate Walsh says, “It’s amazing, after abusing your lungs, liver and kidneys, the only thing you’ve had removed is your kids.”

Charlie takes the stage and responds with, “Until tonight I never realized how f***ed up I was. I just thought I was having fun … Kate Walsh, I don’t know anybody who watches your show, because I date woman who can still get their period."

Charlie says more as do others. Catch it when it airs on Comedy Central, September 19th. Check your local listing for show time.

Sometimes we get so caught up into the beat, we forget what's being sold. More often than not, we would prefer to buy the music not the product to which it's being used to market.

Check out this South African food chain called, Nando's, who employs the likes of comedian Reggie Watts as the well, lyricist, to help sell what it's sellin.

Soulja Boy Marching To The Beat Of, What Now?

According to TMZ, rapper Soulja Boy, for his 21st bday, bought a private jet for $35 million and is putting an additional $20 mill into it for things like: flat screens, liquor bars, custom Italian leather seats, some kind of travertine tiled floor and hardwood cabinets from Brazil. For those that need a little help adding, that's $55 million altogether. I must have missed him being on that Forbes List with Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey.

Really? Is Soulja REALLY that famous that he can't fly commercial? I know plenty of people that don't even know what dude looks like or who he is. I asked somebody if they knew him and they thought I was literally talking about an actual soldier with a boyish face. C'mon man.

Thanks to Soulja Boy's PR, this is one of the best morning laughs I've had in awhile. First of all, I don't believe it. Well, perhaps I should entertain the thought without laughing... Okay if this were true my conclusion is, this is a dumb ass purchase to make. Even if dude made investments that put plenty of money in his pocket, this is still a dumb ass purchase to make. Hey Soulja, you need to fire your manager, brah.

Dave Chappelle Gets Booed (VIDEO)

Dave was performing a set in Miami for Alonzo Mourning's Summer Groove charity event. Some say it looks like he wasn't prepared for the event as at times, he was sighing and staring at the crowd. Oh and he also received 4 text messages and checked them, WHILE ON STAGE.

TV One and CNN analyst Roland Martin was there and tweeted:
This Dave Chappelle set is bizarre. He’s spent more time going back & forth with one audience member, & pretty much stopped telling jokes. Some woman yelled, “Can you tell a joke so we can enjoy ourselves!" I’m just not understanding what threw him off. He’s complained about folks videotaping his set, yelling out loud. I don’t get it. “This crowd is as serious as hell,” he says... Chappelle says this is a “test of wills.” He keeps saying “tick tock” & he has “nothing but time.”

In Martin's tweet of explaining this debacle to his CNN viewers:
... Dave Chappelle complaining about a guy taping his whole show. Then Dave started talking to me, asking if I was putting this on CNN. Yes, from the stage! He’s been on stage 46 minutes & told one joke. He kept saying “I respect your work.” And then said, He’ll send me a tape of his better comedy work. This is a trip! One of Chappelle’s folks told me he hates hecklers, and that totally threw him off. And every little thing that happened just took him off.

Chappelle was on stage for 46 minutes and told one funny, yes ONE joke. Since he has been living on a farm in Ohio, perhaps that's to blame.

Charlie Sheen Gets Anger Management

The "winning" actor has scored a new gig. Charlie Sheen will star in a loosely based tv adaptation of the film, Anger Management, that stars Jack Nicholson. Sheen will play a similar role to Nicholson for the small screen and is excited that he will NOT be wearing any bowling shirts like he did on Two and a Half Men. Evolution Management, Charlie's manager Mark Burg's production company, is one of the creators of this new endeavor. Sheen will have some creative control and ownership in the series. He is also extremely excited to be working with, Joe Roth, one of the producers. Charlie worked with him on Major League and Young Guns, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Sheen states, "I chose Anger Management because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept..."

Ahhhh comedy...stay tuned for air date.

Modern Family Possibly Seeks A New Face

According to Entertainment Weekly (EW), ABC's Modern Family is thinking about doing a re-cast of the Asian baby named, Lily, who plays the daughter of Cameron and Mitchell. Lily is played by twins, Ella and Jaden Hiller, who executive producer Steve Levitan feels want to be kids at home playing, rather than on the set of a television show being bored out of their wits. For those that watch the show (we do and we like) Baby Lily is quiet and at some point, they want Baby Lily to laugh. The twins have not been let go yet, but the show wants to leave their options open.

In all honesty, we kind of like the deadpan face Lily makes.

Anyway, Modern Family starts production next month. If you have a female 3=4 year old Asian, no time to waste. Get in there!

Horrible Bosses

I can definitely relate to having a horrible boss. I still feel the immediate need to give the finger (behind their back of course as I was taught to have manners) just thinking about my ex-boss.

Jennifer Aniston playing the naughty vixen is nice to see. Sexually - charged women on film is always good. The rest of the funny cast which includes: Kevin Spacey, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Jason Bateman, Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx don't hurt either. With those big names, it seems like a really good time to spend an hour and forty minutes. Hope it is as it would really suck if it was horrible, especially with the name "horrible" in the title of the movie.

Katt Williams, Not Catty At All

The comedian stopped at a Jack-in-the Box in Williams, Arizona while on tour. His bodyguard was bitten on the arm by Lester, a retired German Shepherd from the police force, and it must've been really hard as the bodyguard shot and killed the pooch. According to TMZ, Lester was out walking with its owner and he got away. That is when all this went down.

To make it up to the owner of Lester, Katt gave them an 8 week Old Mastiff (that apparently was chillin on his tour bus) to replace the dead one and said his bodyguard would be fired ASAP. Oh and it appears a photo op made them feel a hell of a lot better also (see photo below).
